Customs

Custom dogs are the most requested dolls.  I know the feeling of wanting a small version of the pet you love forever. I had my Bergamascos made out of clay a few years ago and still cherish them everyday as they sit on my desk in front of me. The great thing about wool is that most dog hair can be felted in with it.  Luckily I have Bergamasco sheepdogs who have coats that are very similar to sheep wool and blends perfectly with it. For smooth haired dogs like Yorkies, the trimmings of the hair are best as they can be felted in exactly as they are cut.  It's also the best color match possible and essentially is a true "mini me" of your dog. For dogs with short hair and thick undercoat, the wooly hairs found in your brush are best. They can be mixed with wool and added to your doll.  I recommend that all hair be washed with soap and water and dried before sending to ensure that there are no particles left behind.  Here are some custom dogs that I have recently done, some with the dog's hair and some wool only.  The Bergamasco was made with 100% Bergamasco hair and no wool at all.
